Mother’s Day Prayer

Mothers Day

Heavenly Father, on this Mother’s Day, we thank You for our mothers through whom Your gift of life begins and through whom we are nurtured into good human beings.

We lift up all mothers to Your love and care. We pray for them, for their needs of strength and support to continue to nurture a family of love, in honor and love for You, our God.

Lord Jesus Christ, we call upon Your blessed name to bless all mothers today and everyday. Extend Your hands of grace over them. Amen.

“Honor your father and mother. Then you will live a long, full life in the land the LORD your God will give you.” – Exodus 20:12

The Greatest Man in History

Jesus Christ ResurrectionTHE GREATEST MAN IN HISTORY

The greatest man in history had no servants, yet they called Him MASTER. He had no degree, yet they called Him TEACHER. He had no medicines, yet they called him HEALER. He had no army, yet they called Him LORD and KING. He won no military battles, yet He conquered the world.

He committed no crime, yet they crucified Him. He was buried in a tomb, yet He rose from the dead and lives today.

His name is Jesus Christ, the Son of God, the Messiah.

Jesus Lives!

Jesus Lives

Resurrection Sunday is the most important holiday of the Christian faith. It is the day we recall and show respect for the greatest event in human history – the death, burial and resurrection of our Savior, Jesus Christ. He is still alive today and rules heaven and earth as King of kings, and Lord of Lords. Praise be to God in the highest!

“About Jesus of Nazareth,” they replied. “He was a prophet, powerful in word and deed before God and all the people. The chief priests and our rulers handed him over to be sentenced to death, and they crucified him; but we had hoped that he was the one who was going to redeem Israel. And what is more, it is the third day since all this took place. In addition, some of our women amazed us. They went to the tomb early this morning but did not find his body. They came and told us that they had seen a vision of angels, who said He was alive.

Afterwards, when Jesus was at the table with them, He took bread, gave thanks, broke it and began to give it to them. Then their eyes were opened and they recognized Him, and He disappeared from their sight.” – Luke 24:19-31

“After His death, Jesus presented Himself to them and gave many convincing proofs that He was alive. He appeared to them over a period of forty days and spoke about the kingdom of God. On one occasion, while He was eating with them, He gave them this command: ‘Do not leave Jerusalem, but wait for the gift my Father promised, which you have heard me speak about. For John baptized witha water, but in a few days you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit.”

Then they gathered around Him and asked Him, ‘Lord, are you at this time going to restore the kingdom to Israel?”

He said to them: ‘It is not for you to know the times or dates God the Father has set by his own authority. But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.’

After Jesus said this, He was taken up before their very eyes to heaven, and a cloud hid Him from their sight.” – Acts 1:3-9

Unwrapping God’s Gift To You

Happy HolidaysThis holiday season is characterized by joy, peace and goodwill towards others and the giving of gifts. It truly is a wonderful time of year for family and friends to get together and share the spirit of Christmas!

Yet, the greatest gift of all was given to us over 2,000 years ago when Jesus Christ, the Messiah, was born so that He could become the Savior of all who believe in Him.

“For God so loved the world that He gave his one and only Son [Jesus Christ], that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.” – John 3:16

The real reason for the Christmas season is to remind us – and others – about the Good News that God gave His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, as a free gift to a lost and hurting humanity who needed salvation.

We unwrap this gift by placing our faith in the Son of God and receiving Him as the Lord and Savior of our life. This gift of pardon from our sins is available to all, regardless of where we’ve come from or what we’ve done in the past. Too many celebrate Christmas without accepting His free gift of salvation. God’s gift goes unwrapped year after year after year.

How about this year? A fresh new start is available to you today. Won’t you unwrap God’s free gift to you? Pray the following prayer right now and invite Jesus Christ into your life.

“Dear heavenly Father, I thank You for loving me and sending your only Son, Jesus Christ, to pay the penalty for my sins. Today, I humble myself before You and repent of my sinful ways. I ask for your forgiveness – for all the bad things I’ve done in the past. I invite Jesus Christ to become my Savior and Lord, and help me to become a better person from this day forth. Amen.”
